'I am passionate about my body'
I am passionate about my body and hence whenever I can devote time to myself, I spend it in the gym. My gym is not just a working out place but the best chill out zone — I don't go there merely to hit the treadmill and sweat it out. Especially on a holiday, I am in the gym by noon and stay there till late. I begin with cardio exercises and do weights, besides the regular crunches. When I start feeling that contraction in my muscles, the next thing that hits my mind is good food. I like to cook, but most of the time, I let my wife take the privilege. My most precious moments are with the queen of all times — my little daughter. She is a darling and any time spent with her is simply majestic. For the three of us, our company is the biggest party.

Addison senior running back stepped up to carry 2A Bulldogs
Even before Addison High's Blake Turner rolled up some of the state's best rushing numbers this season, Bulldogs coach Randy White said he knew the senior running back could lead his team. "Blake was going to have to carry the load for us this year," White said. "I knew the challenge was there, but our guys are up for a challenge all the time. I said 'Look, I hope you're up for carrying the ball 20 to 25 times a game,' and he said 'I am.' " And Turner was. The 6-foot, 185-pounder rushed for 1,271 yards in 210 carries this season. He also scored 24 touchdowns as Addison moved up from Class 1A to 2A this year. "People figured, 'If we can stop Blake Turner, we can stop Addison,' and he stepped it up a notch," White said. After averaging 176.3 all-purpose yards a game and helping the Bulldogs go 10-2 and advance to the second round of the state playoffs, Turner has won The Daily's Class 1A-3A player of the year award.
Ganguly in line for recall
India's stuttering form in the one-day arena may have an unlikely beneficiary: Sourav Ganguly is in line for a recall to the Test side, nine months after he was jettisoned followed the resounding 341-run defeat at Karachi. Ganguly, Gautam Gambhir and VRV Singh are likely to be named in the squad for the Tests when the selectors meet on Thursday and, with Rahul Dravid not certain to play in the opening Test, Ganguly could join VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar in the middle order for what is likely to be a tremendous test of India's batting resources. Wealth of experience is being considered an asset after Suresh Raina, Mohammad Kaif and Dinesh Mongia failed to make the transition on the bouncier pitches in South Africa. Ganguly has one Duleep Trophy century to his name this season, and the team's think-tank and the national selectors also reason that his will to succeed after all the travails of the past 18 months will inspire him to rediscover the sort of form that he last showed on the arduous tour of Australia three years ago.
Four folks who just do it
In 2007, an estimated 65 million of us will visit a health club. But will it become a habit? That depends on a lot of factors. Here's a look at four folks who've made working out work for them. BY RHODA FUKUSHIMA Pioneer Press Tailor it to you Working out has always been a priority for Kelly Thommes, a 37-year-old single mother of two children. She also runs her own business, BeneFIT Nutrition, a nutrition consulting firm. Thommes, who lives in Minneapolis, works out at the YWCA in St. Paul. She has a Nordic Trac and some free weights at home but finds a club offers access to weights and equipment she needs for her advanced workouts. How long have you been working out? At least 15 to 20 years. I've always been drawn to physical activity and doing it in an organized manner and doing it at a gym.
